Data Privacy notice

Air Materiel Wing Savings and Loan Association, Inc. is committed to protect the privacy rights of its members on personal data pursuant to the provisions of Republic Act No. 10173 otherwise known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR).

 

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We will collect the following personal information from you when you applied for membership and avail our products and services:

  • Membership Information: Name, address, gender, date and place of birth, civil status, mother’s maiden name, TIN, nationality, photos, digital images, signature and other identification details as required under the Policy on Membership Acceptance and Updating.        
  • Contact information: Mobile number, telephone number, email address, permanent address, work or office telephone number and work or office address.
  • Employment/Business Information: Work type, branch of service, rank/position, AFPSN/PNP Badge Number or Pensioner’s ID number, employer/business name, nature of business, sources of income, etc.
  • Financial and Transactional Information: Account balances, transaction history, deposit and withdrawal records, loan applications and repayment history, income information (pay slips, income statements, source of income, bank statements, etc.), and all other financial data within the duration of membership that are necessary for providing our services.
  • Collateral Information: Details regarding collateral provided for loans (e.g. property details property documents, vehicle registration), and spouse/guarantor information (if applicable).
  • Legal beneficiaries’ information: Name of beneficiaries, relationship to the member, contact number/s and addresses of beneficiaries.
  • Other Information: Information you provide us voluntarily relevant to other services offered, such as investments products, BMM, MC or for insurance processing. This may also include details about your financial goals, risk tolerance and personal opinions arising from participating in surveys, comments and feedback.
  • Biometric Data: Fingerprints or other biometric data for account access and security purposes, in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Security Monitoring: Visitor’s Log and footages captured by CCTV cameras in AMWSLAI branches and offices.
  • Other electronic data or information relating to you such as IP addresses, cookies, activity logs, online identifiers, geographic and location data through accessing AMWSLAI official website

We may also ask for documentary requirements that may contain other personal information such as Identification cards issued by Government agencies, Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Appointment/Retirement Order or Certificate of Employment, Business permit, licenses or tax returns, medical records and other personal data authorized and mandated by law to be collected such as, but not limited to, Anti-Money Laundering Act of 2001 (AMLA), Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Circulars, etc.

HOW WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We manually and electronically collect your personal information when you:

  • Visit any AMWSLAI office, branch, branch unit, building and premises.
  • Submit accomplished forms and documentary requirements to AMWSLAI for membership, loan and other transactions.
  • Participate in on-site promotional and marketing activities of AMWSLAI.
  • Visit the AMWSLAI official website through the use of cookies and tracking technologies.
  • Send an inquiry to AMWSLAI official contact numbers, email addresses, website, and social media pages (e.g. Facebook, Instagram).
  • Click on advertisements of AMWSLAI and provide information through third party sites (e.g. google forms).
  • Interview during the video call for online updating of membership information.

WHY AND HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We collect and process your personal information relevant to your transaction in order to provide you with our products and services that best adapt to your needs. We use your personal information to:

  • Account Management: To open, maintain, and manage membership, savings, capital contribution and loan accounts.
  • Loan Processing and Management: To process loan applications, disburse loans, monitor loan repayments and manage loan collateral.
  • Disbursement of Funds: To process payments and transfers including distribution of dividends.
  • Monitor Loan Repayment: To track loan performance and manage delinquencies.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: To generate financial reports, conduct risk assessments and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Management: To conduct profiling, data analysis, risk analysis, planning, business research and to assess and mitigate business risks and fraud.
  • Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) Compliance: To comply with AML/CTF regulations and to prevent financial crimes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: To comply with the reporting requirements of BSP, Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), National Privacy Commission (NPC), Credit Information System Act, etc.
  • Customer Service: To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
  • Internal Operations: Improve our services, optimize our processes, and manage our internal operations.
  • Marketing and Promotions: To inform you about our promotional and marketing campaigns such as product offerings, various member programs, and important advisories/announcements through SMS, email addresses, website, social media platforms, and other channels.
  • Security and Fraud Prevention: To perform due diligence, detect suspicious activities and protect the member and the Association from any fraudulent transactions.
  • Others: Any other purposes relating to any of the purposes above and/or other purposes described in the most updated AMWSLAI Manual of Operations.

DATA SHARING

We may share or disclose your information to conduct the aforementioned purposes, under an obligation of confidentiality, to any of the following:

  • Credit Reporting Agencies: To assess creditworthiness and comply with reporting requirements.
  • Government Agencies: As required by law or legal process (BSP, BIR, etc.).
  • Legal Counsel and Competent Authorities: In case of legal issues and disputes and supporting or defending a claim.
  • Auditors: For financial audits and compliance purposes.
  • Service Providers: IT Providers, payment processors, insurance companies and other trusted third parties, with strict confidentiality.

We shall not share your personal data with other third parties unless necessary for the purposes specified above and/or you give your consent thereto. Further, data sharing shall be done in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012.

DATA PROTECTION AND SECURITY

We have implemented reasonable security measures to protect all personal data collected from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. These measures conform to the applicable data privacy laws which include formulation of data protection policies, data privacy awareness training for our employees, secured servers, firewalls, access controls, encryption, and data sharing arrangements with service partners. Also, the Association implemented a multi-factor authentication and regularly back-ups the member databases with disaster recovery plan to ensure data availability.

Your personal information shall be retained in accordance with AMWSLAI Retention Policy or as set by pertinent laws or regulations on record retention, whichever is longer. The same shall be disposed in accordance with the criteria set forth in the AMWSLAI Disposal Policy.

DATA SUBJECT RIGHTS

As our valued member, you have the following rights specifically identified in the Section 16 of the Data Privacy Act of 2012:

  • Right to be Informed: To be informed whether Information and/or Personal Data is being or has been processed.
  • Right to Access: To access own personal data including the purposes for which they are to be or are being processed.
  • Right to Object: To object to the collection/processing of the information and/or Personal Data without consent.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: To withdraw consent given to continue processing of personal information.
  • Right to Erasure or Blocking: To order erasure or blocking of personal data that were processed and/or obtained unlawfully.
  • Right to Rectify: To rectify inaccurate and incomplete data.
  • Right to Data Portability: To obtain and electronically move, copy or transfer personal data for further use.
  • Right to File a Complaint: To file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (NPC) if personal information has been misused, maliciously disclosed or improperly disposed, or in case of any violation of your privacy rights.
  • Right to Damages: To be indemnified for damages due to inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, false, unlawfully obtained or unauthorized use of your personal information.

CHANGES AND UPDATES

This notice may be reviewed and revised or updated from time to time to comply with the changes in the DPA and its IRR, new issuances of the NPC and BSP and changes to AMWSLAI data processing policies. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting.

SAVINGS APPLICATION INQUIRY
