AMWSLAI ANNIVERSARY : Iniabot ni AMWSLAI Chairman and President Col Ricardo L Nolasco Jr PAF (Ret) kay Police Chief Superintendent Allen M Fortes, kinatawan ni Police Director Rolando A Purugganan, ang plaque of appreciation bilang pagkilala sa suporta nito sa Asosasyon.

Philippine National Police (PNP) Director for Comptrollership Rolando A Purugganan has commended the AMWSLAI Board of Trustees for its prudent and judicious leadership skills and managerial expertise which uplifted the economic status of more than 50,000 PNP personnel. Purugganan, Guest of Honor and Speaker during the recently-held AMWSLAI 58th Foundation Anniversary celebration, also extolled the resiliency of a handful of men and women of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) who, in 1956, pooled their meager resources and have these expand and grow until AMWSLAI became one of the leading savings and loan associations in the country. He also commended the set of officers and all the men and women who make up the Association.

AMWSLAI Chairman and President Col Ricardo L Nolasco Jr PAF (Ret), reported during the same occasion that the Association has maintained its ranking as the second largest non-stock savings and loan association (NSSLA) in the country with P26.01 B in total resources and net income of P2.12 B in 2013 that has been distributed as dividends to its more than 210,000 members. With AMWSLAI’s savings program Bawat Miyembro Milyonaryo (BMM), it has now 192 members who have become millionaires receiving a total plan values of P192.2 M.

Nolasco stressed that the unrelenting membership trust, confidence and patronage fueled the significant growth of deposits to P3.47 B and capital contributions to P18.95 B. He added that AMWSLAI’s financial performance translated to the association’s continuous profitability, growth and stability, fruits of reforms formulated and implemented by the Board of Trustees during the past several years. AMWSLAI has already 20 branches nationwide, 15 liaison offices strategically located nationwide to provide convenient and reliable services to its members.

For its corporate social responsibility projects, AMWSLAI was in the forefront in the rescue and relief operations in areas devastated by typhoon Yolanda and it also offered Econoloan, a low interest rate with affordable repayment terms to members affected by the typhoon. He said, in 2013, 1,714 members received financial assistance and hospitalization benefits amounting to P27.52 M while 3,899 members were paid P194M under the mutual benefit program.
